Pain & Symptoms - Jaw Pain

"Jaw pain or TMJ ~ temporal mandibular joint pain ~ is a common misdiagnosed problem because almost no one looks for it."

Jaw pain is related to neck and dental problems. Before you go too far, have a chiropractor check out your jaw by kinesiology.

Through proper testing, the planes of the jaw can be re-aligned through minor adjustments to the jaw and muscles holding the jaw can be re-set. Jaw pain is often discovered after a head or neck injury.

Through side-to-side jaw movements, protraction and retraction, the jaw can be tested and the muscles found to be inactive can be strengthened.

Several other procedures that can be used are light percussion instruments and cold laser treatments.

Before someone recommends surgery for TMJ pain, look to find the cause of the problem.
