Pain & Symptoms - Neck Pain
"This is your neck pain so be careful. Since your neck holds your head you don't just want anyone or anything done to it
Truama is a most likely cause of neck pain. Trauma long ago or just yesterday.
Your head is heavy. It weighs as much as a bowling ball. Try carrying that around with you all day -- you'd be tired too.
Often, the muscles in front and back of the neck are weak and tired. They literally give out and their opposing muscles in turn become spastic. This can cause the spinal vertebrae in the neck to become misaligned or even fixated in abnormal positions.
You have to address all the problems in and around the neck.
What about surgery? Is there something surgical to remove like a bone fragment or a disc particle? The neck is supposed to move so fusing it or even splitting the muscles open cause the neck to stiffen over time. Once the neck stiffens and range of motion is reduced, degeneration is not far behind.
What about shots of medication into the neck? Why cover up the pain when the cause has not been found?
There are many things to do to help neck pain. The cause has to be found and appropriate help offered. Gentle adjustments to the neck and soft tissue support offer great relief and non-traumatic solutions for neck pain.
