Pain & Symptoms - Pain Relief
"Pain relief is the goal of many people in the society. We have a pill for this kind of pain and a pill for that kind. Where
does health fit in terms of pain relief?"
Pain relief is pretty easy; stop the cause or cover it up.
We like to cover it up in our society. How quickly can we get the pain to go away?
Now, there are times when pain relief is critical.
I broke my back in a fall as recently as February 2, 2008. This was not a
pleasant experience but I do know how pain can ruin a life. Fortunately, I took
time out of the office, lasered myself 3-6 hours a day, and took bottles of
nutritional supplements and homeopathic remedies I prescribed for myself. I was
back to work in four days!
Prior to this I have broken myself a number of times prior to this. And for what
I knew then, what could be better than a shot of demeral or morphine to put me in a pain-reduced
state, while my hand or arm hung limp, connected by muscles and fragments of ligaments. Just get through this, became my mantra.
But relieving pain on an ongoing, daily basis becomes a problem. Pain tells the body that there is something wrong.
What if you could find the cause of pain, other than an acute injury, and begin the process of correcting it? That's the second way to find pain relief. But this takes time and attention. Is it worth it?
There is a type of chiropractic care that is focused on finding the cause in whatever context it is, and undoing it, fixing it, and helping the body return to a state of health and wellness.
